The Humboldt Broncos bus crash tragedy has been on the Penguins’ minds as they’ve prepared for their Stanley Cup playoffs matchup against Philadelphia this week.
Captain Sidney Crosby led the team’s efforts to reach out by writing messages to each of the survivors of the crash that claimed more than a dozen lives last week in Saskatchewan, Canada. But there was also a formal memorial erected outside the administrative offices at the arena Wednesday.
The Penguins have placed a tribute to the Humboldt Broncos hockey team outside PPG Paints Arena before the team takes on the Flyers Wednesday night.
