Forward Kevin Hayes scored on a rebound at 3:16 of overtime to give the New York Rangers a 2-1 win in overtime Wednesday night in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals.
The Penguins now face elimination and trail 3-1 in the series as both teams head back to New York for Game 5 on Friday at 7 p.m. at Madison Square Garden.
The Penguins took a one-goal lead just two minutes, 22 seconds into the game, marking the first time they took a lead in the opening period since the playoffs began last Thursday.
