Tom Kuhnhackl’s return to the Penguins’ lineup last Saturday night was not the stuff of headlines and highlights, but that doesn’t mean it was not a success.
Filling his customary spot at left wing on the fourth line, Kuhnhackl logged 11 minutes, nine seconds of ice time and was credited with one shot attempt and a blocked shot during a 4-1 victory against Toronto. He also was assessed a high-sticking minor after being a healthy scratch for the previous five games.
“It’s always nice when you get back in the lineup, get back into game mode,” he said after practice in Cranberry today.
