Penguins notebook: Scott Wilson called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

With left winger Chris Kunitz out with a suspected back or neck ailment and and right winger Beau Bennett (right shoulder) placed on injured reserve, the Penguins called up left winger Scott Wilson from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League before a game Tuesday night against New Jersey.

Kunitz’s ailment has been described as a stinger and this was the second game in a row he has missed.

This is the third time Wilson has been called from the AHL this season and the fifth time since the 2014-15 season. WIlson’s confidence has grown with each call-up.
