Pascal Dupuis made another storybook return to the Penguins lineup Wednesday night against the Montreal Canadiens, scoring 13 seconds into the game as the crowd roared to life at Consol Energy Center.
“It gives you chills. Obviously keeps you alive,” Dupuis said.
Dupuis finished a one-timer at the net front off a feed from linemate Sidney Crosby to give the Penguins an early 1-0 lead in a game they surged back to win, 4-3, via shootout.
“Great way to start,” Dupuis said. “Sid made a great play. … He found it, went around, found me right there on the doorstep.
