Penguins notebook: Guentzel poised to make NHL regular season debut

It would be hard for Jake Guentzel to ask for two better linemates for his NHL debut.

Guentzel, who the Penguins called up from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton this morning, is poised to see his first big-league action against the Rangers tonight, likely skating alongside Evgeni Malkin and Phil Kessel on the Penguins’ second line.

“When you play with those two, it’s pretty fun,” Guentzel said after the Penguins’ morning skate. “Obviously you’ve just got to make the most of it and enjoy it.
