The Penguins have made at least two roster moves, nudging them closer to the regular-season limit of 23 players.
Center Kevin Porter and defenseman David Warsofsky were put on waivers today, and presumably will be assigned to the Penguins' farm team in Wilkes-Barre if they are not claimed by noon Sunday.
Trimming Porter and Warsofsky from the roster leaves the Penguins with 29 players in camp. At least one, forward Eric Fehr, is expected to open the regular season on injured-reserve, and will not count against the total of 23.
