Penguins make first of their preseason roster cuts

The Penguins made the first roster cuts of the preseason this morning, sending forward Tom Kostopoulos to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the American Hockey League and forward Jaden Lindo to his junior team, the Owen Sound of the Ontario Hockey League.

Kostopoulos dressed for Pittsburgh’s exhibition opener, a 1-0 shootout win at Columbus on Monday night. Lindo did not get a chance to play in any preseason games.

The two cuts bring the training camp roster down to 51 players. That breaks down to 30 forwards, 17 defensemen, and four goalies.
