Penguins defenseman Kris Letang suffered another injury and will not play tonight in the club's game against the L.A. Kings, coach Mike Johnston said after the team’s game-day skate this morning.
Johnston classified the injury as an “upper body” injury.
Letang missed a pair of games on the team’s recent road trip with an undisclosed injury. He returned for one game against the Denver Avalanche on Wednesday night and was re-injured with a completely different problem, said Johnston.
Letang is the club’s most utilized player, leading them in ice time.
Rob Scuderi will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch against Denver, said Johnston.
