LOS ANGELES – Penguins defenseman Kris Letang will not play in this afternoon’s 4 p.m. game against the L.A. Kings because of an undisclosed injury that could also keep him out of tomorrow’s game at Anaheim.
“He’s not going to play today,” said coach Mike Johnston. “We’ll see how he is over the next couple of days. Each day we’ll test him on the ice. He went on the ice this morning but he’s not going to play today.”
Letang missed practice on Friday with what was described as a lingering injury.
Defenseman Olli Maatta will return to the lineup however, for the first time since he was injured Nov.
