SAN JOSE, Calif. — Break out the Peaches & Herb vinyl. A familiar trio will be reunited on the ice tonight for the Penguins.
Coach Mike Johnston reunited the Chris Kunitz-Sidney Crosby-Pascal Dupuis line Monday at practice, citing the need for more balance and “scoring punch” as the Penguins begin a stretch of four road games in California and Colorado. The club is 4-4-2 in its past 10, and coming off a couple of losses in overtime and a shootout.
“We’re just looking to rebalance our lines, looking for a little bit more scoring punch, a little bit more balance throughout our lineup,” said Johnston.
