Turns out the Pittsburgh Penguin chapter of Luke Schenn’s career lasted less than two days. The Pens acquired Schenn from Nashville in the deal that sent Michael Bunting to the Predators. There were rumors that Pittsburgh might seek to flip the veteran defender Schenn quickly, and that has come to pass. The Pens sent Schenn to Winnipeg for second and fourth round draft picks.

Schenn, 35, has two Stanley Cup and reportedly is fine with the idea of playing for a team that’s chasing a championship, which also marks the first time a player might have preferred Winnipeg over Pittsburgh.
