When the lights come up for Game 1 of the Penguins’ first-round playoff series against the Flyers on Wednesday night, most of the attention will — understandably — be on the superstars on both sides of the ice.
But, as is so often the case in the postseason, some of the biggest moments may well hinge on the players further down the lineup sheet.
The Penguins’ fourth line is well aware of this, and ready for its moment if it comes over the next four to seven games.
“There’s no better time than the playoffs for us to step up,” Tom Kuhnhackl said.
