Penguins Foundation Donates More Than $764,000 From 50/50 Raffles During 2014-15 Season To Local Charities

The Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation is donating more than $764,000 raised from its 50/50 raffles on game nights during the past season to local charitable organizations.

Over $368,000 was awarded to local charities in February of 2015 in Phase One of the Penguins Foundation’s grant process for the 2014-15 season. An additional $396,000 is being awarded this month to complete Phase Two of the current season’s grant process.

More than 70 charities are receiving Penguins Foundation grants this season, including the Arthritis Foundation, CASA of Allegheny County, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater PA, Spina Bifida Association of Western PA, Glade Run, The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern PA, World Vision, Pittsburgh CLO, National Aviary, Junior Achievement of Western PA, The Bradley Center, Children’s Dyslexia Center of Western PA, The Mentoring Partnership of Southwestern Pennsylvania, SLB Radio Production, Inc.
