ANAHEIM, Calif. — Any positive vibes the Penguins had generated over the past two weeks apparently didn’t make the trip out west with them.
Their four-game winning streak came to screeching halt Wednesday night, in a 5-3 loss to the Ducks.
The loss looked like many the Penguins had picked up in December, with inconsistent offensive pressure and far too many odd-man rushes the other way.
And even as the team had turned it around in the month of January, players still stressed the importance of playing a full, consistent 60 minutes every night. That, specifically, was lacking against Anaheim.
