The Stanley Cup got a workout Saturday, as it appeared at four hockey rinks around the Pittsburgh area.
None of the visits were as special as this, however.
Around 1:30 p.m., Penguins equipment manager Danny Kroll surprised 6-year-old Darran Dunlap with the Cup.
Darran, the daughter of Fan Morning Show host Colin Dunlap, was diagnosed with leukemia last November.
Kroll and Colin Dunlap have known each other since Dunlap's time covering the Pirates for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
"For a guy of that age, who doesn’t have kids, to think of a little kid with cancer, it just punches you right in the face how great of a guy Danny Kroll is," Colin Dunlap said.
