Penguins enjoy good news on injury front

PHILADELPHIA — Something strange happened when the Penguins took their morning skate Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center: They added instead of subtracted.

After losing at least one player per game so far on this four-game road trip, the Penguins got some good news when Mark Streit (lower-body), Matt Cullen (lower-body) and Patric Hornqvist (concussion) all participated.

Streit and Cullen will be game-time decisions Wednesday night against the Flyers, while Hornqvist — who did not take contact — will sit out.

“You hate to see the group shorthanded,” Cullen said. “Obviously the guys who have come up have done a good job and really filled in nicely.
