WASHINGTON — Mike Sullivan almost never gives his thoughts on officiating or calls that go against his team.
But when it came to the disallowed goal wiped off by video review in the third period of the Penguins’ 4-1 Game 2 loss to the Capitals Sunday, he didn’t hesitate.
“My view was that it’s 100 percent a goal," Sullivan said. “When you blow it up, you can see the white [between the goal line and the puck]. It’s behind the post. Whether you use deductive reasoning or you can see the white, whatever it may be, that’s how we saw it.
