WINNIPEG, Manitoba – Defenseman Kris Letang will sit out the Penguins’ game against Winnipeg at the MTS Centre tonight.
Letang took a hit to the head from Minnesota’s Jarret Stoll during the Penguins’ 3-1 victory against the Wild Saturday night and went through the NHL’s concussion protocol, but coach Mike Sullivan said Letang “has not been diagnosed with anything.”
The game in Minnesota was the first for Letang after he missed six games with an unspecified injury, and Sullivan suggested that absence was a factor in the decision to sit him tonight.
“He woke up this morning and wasn’t feeling great,” Sullivan said.
