COLUMBUS, Ohio — David Warsofsky has drawn an NHL salary for the past eight days.
He has been on the ice for every practice in that time and is a regular at game-day skates and pregame warm-ups.
And he just might show up in a game sometime soon. Maybe.
There is, however, no evidence it will happen when the Penguins face Columbus tonight at Nationwide Arena.
In fact, unless a defenseman was injured in the Penguins’ 4-3 overtime victory Wednesday against St. Louis at home — and there’s been no indication of that — it’s a near-lock that Warsofsky will sit out the Blue Jackets game.
