Penguins' David Morehouse reflects on the place that 'shaped me into who I am'

David Morehouse took a relatively unconventional route to his current role as Penguins president and CEO, having previously worked on the presidential campaigns of Bill Clinton, Al Gore and John Kerry.

If we’re being honest, though, Morehouse's lobbying of public officials started long before that. It actually traces back to his roots, at Beechview's Pauline Park.

"We actually petitioned the city to get lights," Morehouse recalled, proudly pointing at a nearby light tower. "I called the mayor’s complaint line. I was in seventh grade. I'd use different names and make my voice lower."

The same as he did in 2009 and 2016, Morehouse brought the Stanley Cup to Pauline Park on Monday morning, sharing it with the people and place that has shaped him the most.
