Penguins CEO Morehouse will have heart bypass, valve repair surgery on Tuesday

Penguins CEO and President David Morehouse, 55, will undergo heart valve repair and bypass surgery on Tuesday, the team announced this morning.

According to a short press release, the surgery was recommended by doctors following results from a series of recent tests and exams.

Travis Williams, the Penguins’ Chief Operating Officer, is expected to oversee team business in his absence, per the club.

Morehouse is expected to need six to eight weeks for recovery.
