Penguins center Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion, team officials announced today.
There was no immediate word on his status.
Crosby missed the Penguins' preseason finale against Columbus Saturday because he was not feeling well, and did not practice today because he was undergoing concussion testing.
Crosby, who has a history of concussion issues, has not participated in a game since the finale of the Canada Cup tournament Sept. 29.
There is no indication when he sustained the concussion, or what caused it.
