Penguins, Canadiens make trade

The Penguins have made a trade with the Montreal Canadiens, a source confirmed to DKPittsburghSports.com on Thursday afternoon.

Forwards Joseph Blandisi and Jake Lucchini are two of the pieces involved in the trade.

Blandisi, 25, has split the season between Pittsburgh and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. He's recorded two goals and three assists in 21 games with Pittsburgh and six goals and eight assists in 26 games with Wilkes-Barre.

Lucchini, 24, was an undrafted college free agent signing out of Michigan Tech by the Penguins at the end of the 2018-19 season. He's scored seven goals and eight assists in 53 games this season as a rookie on Wilkes-Barre.
