With Conor Sheary getting placed on injured reserve and Patric Hornqvist out with a lower-body injury, Wilkes-Barre/Scranton forward Zach Aston-Reese will make his NHL debut with a call up for tonight’s scrum with the New Jersey Devils.
The 23-year-old has been making noise down in the AHL for some time now, and in 41 games, has tallied up 29 points (nine goals, 20 assists). By his numbers, he seems like the ultimate playmaker on the wing and is currently tied for the most helpers on the Baby Pens roster.
Lately, Aston-Reese has been on a hot streak, which makes for no surprise that he’ll finally get his chance to shine in the big leagues.
