Penguins-Blue Jackets to Open Preseason on Sept. 21 at Nationwide Arena

The Pittsburgh Penguins will play the first of their eight preseason games on Monday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. against the Columbus Blue Jackets at Nationwide Arena.

Pittsburgh will play its first preseason home game the following night when it hosts another Metropolitan Division rival, the Carolina Hurricanes, at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center.

A preseason staple – the ‘Free Game for Kids’ – will be played on Saturday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m. against the Columbus Blue Jackets. The fifth annual ‘Free Game for Kids’ will once again feature all 18,000-plus tickets being distributed to local youth hockey teams and organizations throughout the region.
