JOHNSTOWN, Pa. – It was a hockey night in Johnstown.
The Penguins defeated the Tampa Bay Lightning, 4-2, in a preseason game tonight at the Cambria County War Memorial. Johnstown hosted the event known as Kraft Hockeyville after winning an online ballot.
The Penguins took all of 14 seconds to score the game's first goal. Chasing a dump-in into the Lightning's right corner, Penguins right winger Patric Hornqvist lifted the stick of Lightning defenseman Victor Hedman to knock the puck loose. Left winger Sergei Plotnikov jumped on the puck and was able to put a backhander from the slot behind goaltender Kristers Gudlevskis.
