The Pittsburgh Penguins will begin the 2016-17 preseason with back-to-back road games against the Detroit Red Wings (7:30 p.m.) and Chicago Blackhawks (8:30 p.m.) on September 27 and 28.
Pittsburgh will play its first home preseason game on Friday, September 30 against the Chicago Blackhawks at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center.
The Penguins will also play home games against Detroit on Wednesday, October 5 at 7 p.m. at CONSOL Energy Center, and on Saturday, October 8 at 4 p.m. versus the Columbus Blue Jackets.
The October 8 matinee against Columbus will be the sixth annual ‘Free Game for Kids.
