Oskar Sundqvist Re-Assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton

The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Oskar Sundqvist to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.

Sundqvist, 22, played in two games for Pittsburgh during his most recent stint, increasing his season totals to 12 NHL games played this year with one assist. He has 17 points (5G-12A) in 44 AHL games with WBS.

The first-place Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, winners of three-straight contests, visit the Binghamton Senators tonight at 7 p.m. before coming home to host Providence on Saturday.

WBS beat Binghamton, 5-0, on Wednesday night thanks to a pair of goals from Dominik Simon and a 20-save effort from goalie Tristan Jarry, whose five shutouts lead all AHL rookies and rank tied for fourth overall.
