If David Perron finally flourishes with the Penguins this season, he expects it won’t matter on what line he breaks camp.
Perron was slotted Friday on the team’s very fluid third line, a fate he said hasn’t slowed him in the past.
“What can you do other than work hard? That’s what I’ll do,” Perron said. “Everyone wants an opportunity with [the top two lines]. I hope I’m going to get that with the type of work I’ve put in, but, in the end, some of the best years I had I started on the third line.
