The Penguins haven’t been afraid to lean heavily on Tristan Jarry when Matt Murray has been out this season, and that won’t stop now.
Jarry will get the start Sunday night against the Rangers, Mike Sullivan confirmed Sunday morning. That means Jarry will have started both legs of this back-to-back, following his 29-save performance in the Penguins’ 4-1 win against the Red Wings Saturday afternoon.
Murray skated at PPG Paints Arena Sunday morning, but Sullivan said his status remains “status quo,” as Murray deals with a family matter that caused him to return to his home in Ontario Saturday.
