NHL Draft 2020: Penguins select Chase Yoder with sixth-round pick

With their fifth pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, the Pittsburgh Penguins selected centerman Chase Yoder in the sixth round.

The Penguins select American forward Chase Yoder with their sixth-round pick (170th overall) of the 2020 NHL Draft.

Yoder comes to the Penguins organization from Fairview, Texas. The 18-year-old has been playing for the U.S. National Team Development Program and has committed to Providence College for 2020-21.

Current head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers men’s ice hockey team and former Penguins assistant coach, Tony Granato, actually compares Yoder’s game to current Penguins player Brandon Tanev.
