Matt Murray is undoubtedly looking forward to his pending return to the lineup from a lower-body injury.
But Saturday morning, he was just excited to have some friends on the ice with him.
Murray skated with the team for the first time since being Nov. 27 against the Flyers. He said he had no restrictions and “definitely” felt close to a return to game action.
“It felt great,” Murray said. “It can get a little bit lonely at times when you’re hurt. You’re on a different schedule than the whole team, so you don’t really see the team too much.
