For years Mark Recchi has had Hall of Fame numbers.

Now, finally, he's a Hall of Famer.

The Penguins alum and the organization's current director of player development was among seven members of the Class of 2017 for the Hockey Hall of Fame, which was announced on Monday afternoon.

The full class includes: Teemu Selanne, Paul Kariya, Dave Andreychuk, Mark Recchi and Danielle Goyette along with builders Clare Drake and Jeremy Jacobs.

Recchi’s 1,533 points rank 12th all-time. Ten of the 11 men ahead of Recchi are in. The lone exception is Jaromir Jagr.

Recchi, who had been passed over the past three years, had been the only retired player with 500 goals and 1,500 points who was not in the Hall of Fame.
