Former Penguins goalie Marc-Andre Fleury wrote a tear-jerking goodbye to Pittsburgh, his home for 14 years, Monday in the Players’ Tribune.
Fleury, who was selected by the Las Vegas Golden Knights in the NHL’s expansion draft, reminisced about the “nearly half of my life” he spent in a Penguins jersey, especially the accomplishments he earned in Pittsburgh.
He summed up his time in Pittsburgh succinctly: “I have a wife, two kids and three Cups.”
He began in 2003 on the night he was drafted by the Penguins, who traded up for the No. 1 overall pick to take him.
