Add Evgeni Malkin to the list of athletes and teams stepping up to help people and organizations that are struggling to meet their needs during the coronavirus pandemic.
He and his family have made an unspecified monetary donation to the Ronald McDonald House of Pittsburgh.
Per a team release, Malkin's contribution will enable that operation to provide catering and hot meals and "to fulfill its entire pantry wish list and provide games for family entertainment."
“My wife, Anna, and I wanted to do something to help families in the Pittsburgh area," Malkin said in a statement released by the Penguins.
