Penguins coach Mike Sullivan said it’s “reasonable” that defenseman Justin Schultz and forward Patric Hornqvist could rejoin the lineup for Game 7 of the Eastern Conference final on Thursday against the Senators at PPG Paints Arena.
It’s not exactly a huge leap. They’re hockey players, employed by the Penguins who’ve been skating on their own regularly. They’re not plumbers. Plus, we know Sullivan loves his deception when it comes to injuries.
But is it realistic? Based on what I’ve seen, Schultz is the only one I can see playing.
I typically get to Penguins practices an hour early, during which you can often watched injured guys skate.
