Penguins defensemen Kris Letang and Olli Maatta may finally be reunited.
The duo was paired up for several shifts to close out Wednesday night’s win against the Montreal Canadiens, and again for parts of Thursday’s practice at the UMPC Lemieux Sports Complex.
But slow down that ticker-tape parade. Coach Mike Johnston stopped short of etching the Letang-Maatta duo in stone, because of the workload Letang shoulders.
“Yeah and it’s probably the same reason you might not see [Maatta] with [Letang] all the time [tonight] or on Saturday,” said Johnston. “It might be 15 minutes a game, 16 minutes a game.
