Letang, Daley and Kuhnhackl return to Penguins practice

NEWARK, N.J. — Kris Letang took the ice with his teammates for the first time in nearly two weeks Tuesday morning, and he admitted it took a little bit of time to get his legs back under him.

“It didn’t feel that great,” he said with a smile. “It’s fun to get back out there with some players, not skating on your own.”

Letang, defenseman Trevor Daley and winger Tom Kuhnhackl all participated in the Penguins’ morning skate — wearing yellow no-contact jerseys — before their game against the Devils Tuesday night. All three have been “week to week” with various undisclosed injuries, but coach Mike Sullivan called their presence at practice “a big step” toward their return to action.
