EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — Jeff Zatkoff admitted he has, for a long time, had Thursday’s date circled on his calendar. Then the Los Angeles Kings goaltender hurt his groin on Oct. 18.
Pain, in more ways than one.
“Obviously you want to play your old team. It’s fun,” Zatkoff said of the Penguins’ game Thursday against the Kings at Staples Center. “We get them again later on the year. It’s fun seeing all the guys. It’s weird. When you switch teams after you’ve been somewhere for so long, to see them on the opposite team. I’m excited to see them.
