The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-assigned forward Kevin Porter to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced today by executive vice president and general manager Jim Rutherford.
Porter has skated in eight games with Pittsburgh this year, registering one assist while helping the team’s penalty killing unit rank seventh in the league with an 87.1-percent success rate.
The Penguins, winners of six of their last seven games, begin a four-game road trip on Saturday night at 7 p.m. against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Pittsburgh’s trek continues with stops in Vancouver, Edmonton and Calgary next week.
