The Penguins began life without Sidney Crosby again, as he was injured the previous week and elected to get surgery and is expected to be out 4-6 weeks. It’s been a rough start for the Penguins players as nearly every key player has missed time for the Penguins and the season is barely 20 games deep yet.
It was a mixed bag for the Penguins in their first games with their captain. It began on the road against the Rangers on Tuesday night. The Penguins again allowed the opposing team an early multi goal lead that the Pens had to claw their way back from, as the Rangers scored two unanswered goals in the first period.
