With only one week left in the regular season, the Washington Capitals look to be on their way to a third straight Metropolitan Championship Banner again this year. The Capitals, however, are not going to be bringing home the President’s Trophy as they have done the previous two years, for what it’s worth. That honor has gone to a Metro Division team for three years running, with the Rangers having won it three years ago. That run will come to an end this year, as it will now be headed to last year’s Western Conference Champion Nashville Predators, most likely.
