The Penguins hit a rough patch the last several weeks but got some very welcome news this week with the return of several key players, most notably John Marino and Brian Dumoulin on defense. John Marino made his presence known immediately when the Penguins hosted the Senators last Tuesday as he scored his sixth of the year only 48 seconds into the 1st period.
Conor Sheary scored once again for the Penguins for the first time in two years and Bryan Rust scored his 25th on the power play as the Pens came out in first for once in this game and led 3-1 after 20 minutes.
