We’re already two weeks into this year’s campaign, and the Carolina Hurricanes are second to only the high-flying Toronto Maple Leafs being led by a Herculean effort by Auston Matthews. This has been the best start in Carolina franchise history, including the Hartford Whalers franchise. Sebastian Aho started the season with points in 6 straight games, scoring 4 goals and 7 assists. Curtis McElhinney is 3-0 in net, but Scott Darling should be back from injury soon and Petr Mrazek was brought in to start games as well.
