The Penguins added four players on two-way contracts to address some organizational depth need on Sunday afternoon.
All of the contracts are worth $650,000 at the NHL level.
The players involved are forward Jimmy Hayes; defensemen Zach Trotman and Stefan Elliott; and goaltender John Muse.
Trotman spent 2017-18 with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, leading the team with a plus-24 rating in 49 games. Trotman has 70 games of NHL experience.
Hayes, 28, had three goals and nine points in 33 games with the Devils last season. He’s played 334 NHL games with the Blackhawks, Panthers, Bruins and Devils, with 54 goals and 109 points.
