A pair of Penguins have hit injured reserve as another is headed back to the AHL.
Tristan Jarry, who was injured in the Winter Classic at Fenway Park in Boston on Jan. 2, has been placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury, retroactive to the day he was injured, it was announced on Wednesday by Ron Hextall.
Jarry skated for the first time since suffering the injury before the Penguins' morning skate on Tuesday. Afterward, Mike Sullivan said that Jarry is day-to-day, but his return is not imminent.
