SUNRISE, Fla. — The Penguins honored their 1991 and 1992 Stanley Cup-winning teams with a reunion and ceremony last weekend.
Some players — like Ron Francis, Ulf Samuelsson and Wendell Young, among others — couldn’t make it because they have moved into coaching or front-office positions.
One was a no-show for another reason.
“I had a game,” Florida right winger Jaromir Jagr said today, smiling.
He has another one tonight, against the Penguins at the BB&T Center at 7:38.
It will be Jagr’s 1,657th NHL appearance, fourth-most in league history.
He won’t overtake Francis, who is No.
