The Robo-Penguin jersey is finally back, and Jason Zucker busted out a classic Jaromir Jagr salute to celebrate his goal to open the scoring for the Penguins Wednesday night in Buffalo against the Sabres.
After the first period, Zucker told Dan Potash of AT&T Sportsnet that the ode to Jagr was an idea from Bryan Rust and Jake Guentzel. He just happened to be the one that scored first, so he did it.
"Shoutout to Jagr and that whole team," he said.
On Thursday, Jagr tweeted out a video of himself rocking a classic white Robo-Penguin jersey in which he shared his love and appreciation for the honorary celebration.
