The Stanley Cup made stops at four different rinks around Pittsburgh on Saturday. But its visit to the home of 6-year-old Darran Dunlap was undoubtedly the most heartwarming.
Darran, the daughter of Pittsburgh 93.7 The Fan radio host Colin Dunlap, was diagnosed with leukemia last November. Penguins equipment manager Danny Kroll, who knows Colin from his days covering the Pirates for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, got in touch with him last week to let him know that he might have the Cup for a short period of time on Saturday and to keep the family's schedule clear just in case.
